The Register’s mission is as follows:

To encourage evidence-based practice in the fields of hypnotherapy and hypno-psychotherapy.
To facilitate high quality, research-oriented hypnotherapy training.
To provide a means for regulating the practice of therapists and a source for referrals.
To disseminate information on contemporary research and best practice in the field of hypno-psychotherapy.
To serve and protect the public interest by providing a system for accreditation and monitoring complaints and reports of bad practice.
To help shape the formation of a scientifically- led profession of hypno-psychotherapy.
